Technip FMC and Orsam Oil and Gas Ghana Limited to Undertake In-Country Steel Fabrication

Technip FMC and its partner Orsam Oil and Gas Ghana Limited have been contracted by Tullow and the Jubilee Partners to undertake in-country steel fabrication for subsea infrastructure for the Jubilee Southeast project. As part of Tullow’s strategy to develop local capacity for the oil and gas industry in Ghana, over 600 tons of steel is being welded and fabricated in Ghana for this project. The Jubilee Southeast project consists of the development of the area lying to the southeast of the Jubilee field which is believed to have over 170 million barrels targeted for production between 2022 and 2025.

Rahul Dhir, CEO of Tullow Oil together with CFO Les Wood, Cynthia Lumor Deputy Managing Director of Tullow Ghana, Peter Barralet, Project Manager for Jubilee South East project, and other members of Tullow Management Team paid a visit to Orsam Fabrication facility in Apowa in the Western Region of Ghana to witness the ongoing steel infrastructure fabrication being developed for the Jubilee Southeast project.
