Concentrix + Webhelp Ghana celebrates end of year with WAHOU Time

Concentrix + Webhelp's operations in Ghana have contributed significantly to local employment, growing to over 500 team members within the first year

To commemorate the end of another year, Concentrix + Webhelp, a leading global provider of customer experience (CX) solutions and technology, recently held an end-of-year celebration, dubbed WAHOU time, at its site in Accra, Ghana. The event was held in the presence of Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister of Information in Ghana.

During the celebration, Mr. Nkrumah acknowledged the pivotal role played by enterprises including Concentrix + Webhelp in propelling the nation forward in economic development. Highlighting Ghana's embrace of the digital era, he underscored significant investments in technology and the digitalization of the economy to ensure Ghana remains at the forefront of innovation.

Phillipe Broutin, General Manager, Africa Expansion of Concentrix + Webhelp, reiterated the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability. He highlighted the impact of new hires within the company, showcasing their dedication to fostering local talent. "Since our establishment in Ghana, we haven't just been conducting business; we've been building a lasting impact on the local community. We believe in not only being a successful business but a responsible corporate citizen. Through our impact hiring initiative, we have about 30% of our population being impact hires, thus individuals who have High School Certificates, are marginalised, or less privileged in Ghanaian society. I would like to acknowledge developmental agencies and NGOs like GIZ, DSAA, Generation, and Soronko Academy who have been wonderful partners of this initiative - we look to doing more in 2024".

Other impacts made in Ghana include:

Job Creation: Concentrix + Webhelp's operations in Ghana have contributed significantly to local employment, growing to over 500 dedicated team members within the first year. The organization is on track to create additional opportunities, targeting to grow its current staff strength within the next few years.

Technological Advancements: The infusion of technological investments not only benefits the global operations but also positions Ghana as a technological hub. The organization's commitment to innovation aligns with the government's vision for a digitally empowered nation.

Corporate Social Responsibility: The focus on impact hires and the reduction in plastic cutlery use underscore Concentrix + Webhelp's commitment to social and environmental responsibility in the local community.

Mr. Broutin added that Concentrix + Webhelp remains dedicated to expanding and growing in Ghana. The organization expects to further contribute to the nation's economic development by creating more job opportunities, fostering technological innovation, and continuing its impactful initiatives in corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability.

The Country Manager, Charles Agyemang Badu, for his part said, it is a time for renewed energy, rekindled ambitions, and a shared commitment to achieving even greater heights together, adding, “Our journey at Concentrix + Webhelp is like a captivating novel, and as we turn the page to a new chapter, I am confident that the plot will thicken with exciting adventures and remarkable achievements. “As we embark on this year's journey, I encourage you to set your sights high, to dream big, and to approach each day with passion and purpose.
