CCI France Ghana held its Ordinary General Assembly

CCI France Ghana held its 1st Ordinary General Assembly on the 9th of March at the Kempinski Hotel just before the Gala Night. The General Assembly brought members of the CCIFG together to have a discussion on what the CCIFG has done in the last two and a half years, the strategy for the next two years and to vote for the new board members for a term of two years.

The meeting, facilitated by Mr Patrick PRADO, President of CCIFG, begun with a discussion of the business support services offered to members and the progress made in the past years. Light was thrown on the increase of business support services to foreign companies from 7 in 2015 to 20 in 2016. The contribution of the Chamber which promoted trade agreements between France and Ghana was also discussed.

The strategy for the next two years was touched on after. The focus of CCIFG for the next two years will be on increasing Ghanaian participation at CCIFG and its activities. Sectorial committees will be set up to improve business support services to member companies. These committees which will be centred around having a strong Ghanaian presence, will identify, recommend and address needs so as to provide more tailored services to suit our member companies. The strategy for 2017/2018 introduced to members new services which included trade missions from Ghana to other countries, the development of a training catalog in Ghana or abroad to promote capacity building amongst businesses, the introduction of a CCIFG Directory for members to expand their business and to Commencing an Employment Service which will assist members find the perfect match for their business.

The meeting ended with the voting for the new board members for a term of two years. The current board of directors, elected for a second term of two years, is composed as follows:

  • Patrick PRADO, President in charge of strategic orientations, in charge of the action plan 2017-2018, and in charge of relationship management with Business France
  • Gauthier POURCELLE, 1st Vice-President in charge of communication and relationship management with members
  • Jean-Louis CHANEL, 2nd Vice-President in charge of relationship development and management with Ghanaian companies
  • Olivier VAN-PARYS, 3rd Vice-President in charge of organizing and facilitating events
  • Sionle YEO, Treasurer
  • Mathieu CASTRE, Deputy Treasurer
  • Celestino ALVAREZ-NEIRA, Secretary-General
  • Lionel ODEYER, Assistant Secretary-General
  • Francois BACCI, Board member
  • Olivier CHASSANG, Board member
  • Edouard ROCHET, Board Member
