Dear Respondent,
With the amendment of the Public Procurement Act and the stronger drive towards efficiencies as captured in the theme for the Ghana Public Procurement Authority - “Achieving Greater Efficiency in Public Expenditure: Using Procurement" organisations are finding ways to enhance value for their investments.

In line with the above and shared purpose of supporting businesses and organisations, KPMG and the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS) have signed a memorandum of understanding. The partnership aims to facilitate the development of synergies and capacities that will promote the practice of sound and value-based procurement practices within the country. Other areas of the engagement include collaboration to drive procurement and supply management professionalisation in Ghana, support for the passage of the proposed Procurement Practicing Bill, capacity of local procurement professionals, among others.

To obtain insights for future support schemes, KPMG in collaboration with GIPS is reaching out to stakeholders with the 2023 Procurement Enhancement Survey. This survey aims to assess procurement management practices across the public and private sectors.
