CalBank PLC Together with AMPATH Donates to the Cape Coast & Takoradi (European) Hospitals.

In a heartwarming gesture of corporate social responsibility, CalBank PLC in partnership with the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) has donated a generous amount of medical supplies to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, in the Central region and Takoradi (European) Hospital in the Western region of Ghana respectively.

Donation to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital was made on Thursday, March 16 2023, and included essential items such as isolation gowns, face masks and nose masks that are critical for healthcare workers in the region.

Additionally, the donation to the Takoradi (European) Hospital in the Takoradi District was made on Friday, 17th March 2023, and included boxes of nose masks, face shields and isolation gowns.

The Bank’s donations come as a much-needed relief to the hospitals in the two regions. Speaking on the occasion, the Marketing Head of CalBank, Mr. Kofi Siabi remarked that, CalBank is committed to making a positive impact on the communities it serves and is proud to support these two important hospitals in their efforts to provide exceptional medical care. “We are honored to support the selfless medical professionals who are on the frontlines of providing quality healthcare to patients in the regions. Our contribution of medical supplies is a small gesture of our gratitude for their tireless efforts,” he said.

Representatives from both hospitals, expressed their appreciation for the donation, saying that it would help them in providing better care to their patients while keeping themselves safe. “We are thankful for this kind gesture and we assure CalBank that these items will be put to judicial use. We also look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership with CalBank,” Dr. Eric Kofi Ngyedu (CEO, Cape Coast Teaching Hospital) remarked.

Mr. Samuel Obeng Asare (Deputy Administrator, Takoradi Hospital), also appreciated the bank for going above and beyond especially in these budget constraint periods to lend a support to them. He emphasized that not only would the medical supplies augment their stock but would also help protect the medical professionals in their delivery of quality healthcare in the hospital.
