Alisa Hotel Tema Opens for Business

The Alisa Hotels Group has taken its business to the industrial city of Tema as part of a grand move to offer its services to many more people...

It also forms part of a deliberate effort to spread its operations across strategic areas.

The newly opened Alisa Hotel Tema, boasts of over 50 guest rooms with bespoke conference facilities. The new facility just like the others, offer either luxury or contemporary accommodation, conference and banquet halls plus unique food and beverage outlets to satisfy all palettes.

It was opened by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, at the weekend. The Chairman of the Bamson group -Sikkens Paints, Sandtex Paints, Crown Paints, Glostal Aluminium & Alisa Hotels; Mr Kwame Ofosu Bamfo is one of the most respected business moguls and philanthropists in Ghana. He boasts over 35 years of experience in a variety of business undertakings, with his companies employing over 750 people worldwide.

Alisa Hotels started as a boutique hotel in Labone with only 14 rooms. What started as a niche market, eventually attracted increased demand and this compelled the hotel to secure another property at North Ridge, Accra to accommodate the ever-growing international and local clientele. While North Ridge continued to serve both the local and international community, the Alisa Hotel Group felt the need to reach a wider network of the corporate, business traveller and leisure guest while offering an experience that builds a lifestyle.

The hospitality group identified the port city of Tema as perfect for its expansion plans. It is in this context that the Alisa Group, conceptualised Industrial meets Modern; the marriage of steel engineering with contemporary artistic strokes; where the modern fuses with the energy of a vibrant port city.

Renowned Ghanaian architect; Augustus Richardson, was consulted to conjure different bespoke themes from his rich tapestry of design nous and experience. He came up with the idea of mounting a steel work that has a collage of cranes, containers and ships to capture the unique ambience of the hotel.

The hotel comprises 52 guest rooms and suites comprising 14 superior garden view rooms and 12 superior pool view rooms, 20 Deluxe rooms, two Executive rooms and two Ebony suites plus two beautifully styled Meridian suites.  All rooms have complementary high speed wireless internet, Minibar, In-room safe, individual climate control, tea and coffee making facilities as well as an iron with an ironing board plus a hair dryer. For Conferences and Events, Alisa Hotel Tema has five indoor meeting and event spaces with the Meridian Arena being the largest. Ideal for all event types. Additionally, the hall can be partitioned to host seamlessly two conferences. The hotel also has two boardrooms and an Executive lounge that can cater for high profile board meetings and seminars. The Alisa green gardens have well-manicured lawns to provide panoramic views for all outdoor events.

To ensure that all the different palettes are well catered for, the hotel has a restaurant and three bars. The Atlantic restaurant is a contemporary styled all-day dining restaurant that offers an array of flavours encompassing all corners of the globe. The Sky Bar is more than just a bar. It is an all-action bar that offers exhilarating views of the Harbour city and is the perfect place to watch a big match or saunter in for after work drinks. The Oasis Pool Bar offers the luxury of enjoying ones favourite cocktails while swimming.

There are distinctly sited cabanas to offer some privacy. It also has a Terrace where guests can feel the warmth of the African sun while sipping on their favourite wines and cocktails.

Strategically positioned on the ground floor of the hotel is the Patrone Lounge which is in the midst of all the action and is the place to see and be seen. It’s an ideal location for afternoon tea or signature cocktail to unwind the evening.
