9.3% economic growth rate recorded in Ghana’s 3rd quarter

Figures released by the Ghana Statistical Service shows that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the third quarter in Ghana has been recorded to have increased to 9.3% representing a 0.3% increment from the figure recorded in the previous quarter in 2017. This figure is 4.7% higher than the 4.6% recorded in the third quarter of 2016.

The economy, including the oil sector was also recorded to be valued at GHS10.8 billion in 2017 as compared to the GHS9.9 billion recorded in the same period 2016.

On a sectorial level, the industrial sector outperformed the agriculture and services sector with a growth of 16.6%, whereas agriculture and services grew by 10% and 5.7%.
