Vivo Energy Celebrates Excellence at Retail Conference and Awards
Accra, Ghana – 15th May 2025: Vivo Energy Ghana, the exclusive marketer and distributor of Shell-branded products and services, has reaffirmed its commitment to excellence, growth, and strategic partnerships at its annual Retail Conference and Awards.
The highly anticipated event brought together distinguished Shell Retailers, valued business partners, employees, and stakeholders from across the country to reflect on the past year’s performance and celebrate the outstanding achievements within Vivo Energy Ghana’s retail network.
In his keynote address, the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana, Christian Li, emphasised the importance of collaboration and resilience in achieving success despite prevailing economic challenges such as high inflation, foreign exchange volatility, and rising interest rates.
“Thanks to your commitment, resilience, and business acumen, our retail business in 2024 witnessed commendable growth and performance. You have weathered the storms, embraced change, and driven excellence across our network, ayekoo!” he stated.
Under the theme “Bigger, Bolder, Better, Together,” the conference embodied the company’s transformation agenda, retail network expansion, and continued investment in people and communities for sustainable growth. Mr. Li also highlighted flagship initiatives such as the ShePower Project, which is empowering women and girls in STEM across Ghana.
Mr. Christian Li emphasised Vivo Energy's vision to become Africa's leading and most respected energy business. He urged retailers to strive for leadership in their respective markets, aligning with the company's ambitious goals.
The climax of the event was the awards ceremony, which recognised top-performing retailers and team members who had gone above and beyond in their operations. The top award recipients were, the Best Quality Hygiene Marshal (QHM) 2024 which went out to Ebenezer Gentle Duedu, the Best Territory Manager (TM) 2024 – Prince Frimpong, Gold Retailer 2024 – George Appiah and Country Retailer of the Year – H2 Oil Enterprise.
Receiving the most coveted award of the night, the Country Retailer of the Year, H2 Oil Enterprise, represented by its General Manager, Etornam Horgli, commended Vivo Energy Ghana for its consistent support and emphasised the importance of delivering exceptional customer service.
“Our priority has always been the customer. We believe that sustained excellence comes from delighting customers every day. This award is a testimony to what is possible when passion meets partnership,” she remarked.
The Retail Manager of Vivo Energy Ghana, Kwame Asante commended all awardees and retailers for their dedication to the business with a call on all partners to uphold ethical business practices, adhere strictly to safety, operational excellence, and brand standards.
