CCIFG Hosts Exclusive French Wine Tasting Evening

CCI France Ghana (CCIFG) brought together members and distinguished guests for an evening of discovery, networking, and appreciation of French wines at the Spa Café, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra, on 22 May 2026.

The event, sponsored by Imexco Ghana Ltd., offered participants a unique opportunity to explore a curated selection of premium French wines while learning about the history, craftsmanship, and characteristics that make French wines renowned around the world.

As one of Ghana's leading distributors of premium international brands, Imexco Ghana played a key role in delivering an authentic tasting experience. Guests were guided through each wine by an Imexco representative, who provided insights into the origins, flavour profiles, and unique qualities of every selection before participants sampled them.

The tasting featured a diverse range of wines from the acclaimed Gérard Bertrand collection, as well as other notable labels. White wines served included Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre White, Gérard Bertrand Coteaux de Narbonne White, and Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses Chardonnay. Guests also enjoyed Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses Pinot Noir, Gérard Bertrand Cigalus Red, and Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Red among the red wine selections. The rosé offerings featured Gérard Bertrand Gris Blanc Rosé and Hampton Water Rosé.

Throughout the evening, participants were encouraged to engage their senses and discover the stories behind each bottle, gaining a deeper appreciation for French winemaking traditions. A selection of canapés complemented the wines, enhancing the tasting experience and creating an atmosphere that encouraged conversation and connection among attendees.

The event welcomed several prominent members of the Chamber, including Jean-Médard Madama, Managing Director of Tullow Oil Ghana; Nicolas Jambou, Board Member of CCIFG; and William Kyei, Managing Director of Kezy Bans. Their presence, alongside fellow members and guests, contributed to the warm and engaging atmosphere that characterized the evening.

Adding a personal touch to the occasion, attendees also took a moment to celebrate the birthday of Jean-Médard Madama, making the evening even more memorable for those present.

Beyond the tasting itself, the event reflected CCIFG's commitment to promoting French culture, fostering business relationships, and creating valuable networking opportunities for its members and partners. By bringing together professionals from diverse sectors in a relaxed setting, the Chamber continues to strengthen the ties between the French and Ghanaian business communities.

CCI France Ghana extends its sincere appreciation to Imexco Ghana for its support and expertise in making the event a success, and thanks all participants for contributing to an enjoyable and enriching evening.
