CCIFG celebrates its annual New Year Cocktail
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry France Ghana (CCIFG) officially ushered in the 2026 business year with its annual New Year Cocktail, held on Thursday, 5th February 2026, at the Cantonments City Green Park.
The event kicked off at 6:00 PM, turning the garden into a lively space where people could easily connect. It brought together a great mix of both old and new members, all chatting and sharing ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. In attendance to lead the celebrations were key members of the CCIFG Executive Board, including newly elected President Guillaume Valence, Vice-President Adedamola Adelabu, and Treasurer Catherine Johnson.
In her opening remarks, CCIFG Managing Director Maxine Reindorf-Partey emphasized the Chamber’s renewed focus on creating tangible opportunities in a shifting economy. She noted that the past year was one of "reflection and progress in a dynamic economic environment," praising the resilience of the membership.
"Our strategic focus is firmly anchored on deepening economic ties, enhancing member value, and responding proactively to the evolving needs of our business community," Ms. Reindorf-Partey stated. She further announced a commitment to "more economic-themed events and high-impact programs," including sector-focused forums and enhanced membership packages tailored for both SMEs and multinationals.
Taking the stage for his first official welcome address since the December elections, Board President Guillaume Valence outlined a vision centred on accountability and member-centricity. He introduced the formation of two new sub-committees, focused on Member Value and Governance, to ensure the Chamber operates with maximum efficiency.
"We agreed that we put value for members at the centre of every decision we make, every resource we allocate, and every event we organize," Mr. Valence asserted. Addressing the members directly, he posed the fundamental question guiding his three-year mandate: "What value am I getting for the money I am paying for my membership? That will be our compass."
The primary objective of the evening was two-fold: to strengthen bonds among existing members and to open the Chamber’s doors to prospective partners. Mr. Valence concluded his address by reminding the audience that beyond structure and governance, the CCIFG is a community. "It’s about people working together, people talking to people, and people doing business with people."
The success of the evening was made possible by the support of key sponsors, including GoldKey Properties, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, and IMEXCO Ghana, whose contributions ensured a great experience for all guests.
As the first major gathering of the year for CCIFG, the New Year’s Cocktail set a positive tone for 2026. The lively atmosphere served as a proof to the Chamber’s growing influence and its role as an important driver for business growth and economic integration between France and Ghana.
