Ghana, although not well- known to the French and French companies, is nevertheless a very important market in West Africa. It is the second largest economy in the ECOWAS region after Nigeria and is dubbed a “business friendly” economy due to its successful democratic nature which has been a tradition since 1992.

Ghana has about fifty French companies and the CCI France Ghana 110 members. The stock of French Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) represents 1.5 billion euros in 2015, a weak stock but with promising projects on the future in the medium term.

Following a slowdown in growth, the country shows very good signs of recovery with many projects under development in the sectors of infrastructure, transport and energy in particular. CCIF Ghana is taking advantage of this new momentum to attract more investors to the country. In October, Ghana days will be held with the Rouen Métropole CCIs, the Bordeaux Afrique Business Club (CBSOA) and the Paris Ile-de-France CCI.

Following a mission of Moroccan companies successfully organized in 2016 in partnership with the CCI France Maroc, the CCIFG wants to reiterate the mission in 2017 with the CCI France Lebanon.
There is already much trade and investment between Lebanon and Ghana. The CCI France Ghana and France Lebanon then want to position themselves to accompany all sorts of companies irrespective if industry wishing to establish relations between the two countries. The CCIFG can provide various services, including market research, individual or collective prospecting, or even assistance with implementation.
